There have been several attempts at a Bar Billiards game for computer, but none of them really captured the game's spirit, so I decided to write one myself! It is likely that I will be releasing updates to the game as any bugs etc come to light. Check back here or visit the BB Forum for the latest developments, or just to leave feedback. If you find any bugs or problems, report them on the forum, and I'll try to fix them as soon as I can.
Legal bit: This game is completely free. Enjoy it; give it to anyone, but under no circumstances can it be sold, or included in any compilation for sale, or used in any commercial way whatsoever. This software carries no spyware, adware or any other nasties, but no liability will be accepted for any problems encountered as a result of its use.
The game includes three table designs, the standard 3 peg game, the 4 peg variant, and a fun design based loosely on Bagatelle.
Requirements: This game should run on any reasonably modern PC running Windows 2000, XP, or Vista running at least DirectX 8. The game will run more smoothly the quicker the processor, and the more memory there is installed.
Controls: Move the 'ghost' cue ball to the desired position to aim the shot. Press the right mouse button to see the line the ball will take. Press and hold the left mouse button until the desired power is reached then release the button to take the shot. DO NOT HIT THE BALL TOO HARD! If a ball reaches a hole travelling too fast it will swing around and miss, or hit the back of the hole, and bounce back out.
Press F1 to bring up a help screen at any time in the game. Press F4 to switch between windowed and full screen modes.
If you have never seen or played Bar Billiards before, and you enjoy this game, why not click on the links below and see what the real game has to offer. Bar Billiards players are a friendly bunch so come and have a chat to us in the forum and find out where your nearest table can be found.

Finally, I owe a debt of thanks to several people who have encouraged me, offered advice, and tested the beta versions, notably Chris Saville, Nigel Senior, and Vinny. Thanks chaps!
Watch this space for an advanced version later this year!
